How to Replace a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in Wyoming
If your Wyoming commercial driver's license (CDL) is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can apply for a replacement license. While not required by Wyoming law, it is a good idea to notify your local police department if you believe your CDL has been stolen.
APPLYING FOR A DUPLICATE CDL
- Visit your local Examination Station in person in order to apply for a replacement CDL.
- Complete a vision statement and the vision screening.
- You must present two valid forms of identification and your social security number.
- Submit the replacement fee of $20.
- If your current CDL is damaged, you must surrender it at the Examination Station when you apply for a replacement.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- You cannot apply for a replacement commercial driver's license online.
- If you are out of Wyoming for less than two months and your CDL is lost/stolen, call the Department of Transportation at (307) 777-4800 and they will send you a temporary license, valid for 60 days. You must, however, return within those 60 days and visit Examination Station to get a permanent license.
- If you are out of Wyoming for more than two months and your CDL is lost/stolen, you can get a duplicate CDL by mail. You should complete a vision statement and the vision screening (less than a year old), enclose the replacement fee of $20 and mail the package to:

- If your name or address has changed, you may need to apply for a replacement CDL in order to correct the information.
