How to Replace a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in Mississippi

If your Mississippi commercial driver's license (CDL) is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can apply for a replacement license. While not required by Mississippi law, it is a good idea to notify your local police department if you believe your CDL has been stolen.

APPLYING FOR A DUPLICATE CDL

  1. You will need to visit your local Driver License Office in person in order to apply for a replacement CDL.
  2. You must present two valid forms of proof of identity which can be either two primary documents or a combination of one primary and one secondary document, along with your social security card.
  3. Submit the replacement fee of $5 (only if it is the first replacement) or $10 (if it is a second replacement or higher).
  4. If your current CDL is damaged, you must surrender it at the Driver License Office when you apply for a replacement.
