How to Apply for a New Driver's License in Arkansas

Arkansas first-time drivers require a new driving license to operate a motor vehicle. Drivers new to Arkansas have 30 days to transfer their out-of-state credentials from the time they establish residency. New drivers license applicants must be 14 years of age or older and provide the required identification documents, including proof of school attendance. Qualified applicants must also pass a drivers exam to obtain credentials from the Arkansas DFA.
