Arkansas first-time drivers require a new driving license to operate a motor vehicle. Drivers new to Arkansas have 30 days to transfer their out-of-state credentials from the time they establish residency. While operating a personal watercraft, you must have a person above the age of 21 along with you to supervise and help in an emergency.
Arkansas new drivers license applicants younger than 18 years of age must fulfill requirements set by the Graduated Driver License program. A resident may apply for an instruction drivers permit at 14 years of age to practice operating a car while accompanied by a licensed adult. AR driving permit and driving license applicants younger than 18 years of age must get permission from their parents. They must also provide documents that prove that they attend school and that their grade point average meets the minimum requirement.

For commercial vehicles, like a truck, tractor-trailer, or school bus, a commercial drivers license is necessary. CDL school are not required in Arkansas to obtain a CDL.
