How to Apply for a Motorcycle License in Wyoming
You can apply for a motorcycle permit and license at any DOT office in Wyoming. In order to apply for a motorcycle license you must first apply for a motorcycle permit.
New Applicants Over 18
When applying for a Motorcycle permit you will be applying for a Class IM license. To obtain a Class IM license, you must:
- Undergo a vision test.
- Provide a birth certificate at your local driver exam station.
- Complete the written test with a pass mark of at least 80%.
- Pay the fee ($23).
New Applicants Between 15 and 18
In addition to the above requirements, applicants under 18 must provide a consent form from their parent or guardian.Instruction Permit (Learner's Permit)
Once you complete the aforementioned prerequisites, you will be given an instruction permit. This permit will allow you to practice driving a motorcycle.Applying for a Motorcycle License
- You must first successfully finish the Basic Rider Education course.
- If you are 18 years of age or under, you will need to provide a consent form signed by a parent or guardian to an driver exam station.
- Two forms of identification must be submitted. For acceptable ID, see the DOT website.
- You must complete the written test with a pass mark of at least 80%.
- You must successfully complete the skills test.
- Pay the fee ($23).
