How to Apply for a Motorcycle License in Arkansas
You can apply for a motorcycle permit and license at any OMV office in Arkansas. In order to apply for a motorcycle license you must first apply for an instruction permit. You must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
New Applicants
Listed below are the requirements to obtain a permit:
- Visit your local OMV office.
- Take the written test based on the driver's manual.
- Pay an application fee. Fees can be obtained by contacting any OMV office.
- Pass the vision test.
New Applicants Under 18
In addition to the above requirements, applicants under 18 must provide a consent form from a parent or guardian.Applying for a Motorcycle License
- Contact your local OMV office to arrange for a motorcycle skills test. No further written test is required. If you have successfully completed a Motorcycle Safety Foundation within the previous 90 days, the skills test is not required.
- You are required to bring a legally registered and operating motorcycle when you attend the skills test.
- Pay an application fee. Fees can be obtained by contacting any OMV office.
