Telephone customer service representatives at the Mississippi State Tax Commission, are available to provide general information on vehicle services from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Apart from visiting DPS Highway Patrol Driver Services locations to schedule your vision, knowledge and road tests, you may also use the DPS website to schedule your commercial driver license road test online; or by calling your preferred Driver License Location. This appointment needs to be made at least a couple of days before the actual test.[edit] TYPES OF LOCATIONS
- Mississippi's Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol District Driver License Offices, handle issues concerning licenses, commercial licenses, non-driver IDs, permits and more. You can also schedule your vision, knowledge and road tests here. Not all District Offices offer all services. Most District Offices are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, or Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm,, except for legal holidays. Some offices are also open for one day in the week. Please verify the hours and services offered at your preferred Station before visiting in person.
- Mississippi State Tax Commission's County Tax Assessor/Collector's Offices deal with titles, registrations and more. General hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, except for legal holidays. Please verify the hours at your Tax Assessor/Collector Office before visiting in person.
