[edit] TRAFFIC SCHOOLS
In the state of Arizona, traffic schools are often referred to as âTraffic Survival Schools' (TSS). There are many reasons why people enroll in the TSS:
- After a traffic violation where demerit points are awarded, the Motor Vehicle Department will order the driver to take a course at a traffic/driving school to improve their safe-driving skills.
- To increase their knowledge of Arizona driving laws and receive safe driving points.
- If you have accumulated 8 or more points in a twelve month period.
[edit] BENEFITS
Any driver who has accumulated more than eight points or has his or her driving privilege suspended can enroll in a TSS. It will not remove points off your record but it will benefit you by reinforcing driver requirements.[edit] WHEN IS IT MANDATORY?
When the MVD provides you with a corrective action letter for traffic violations, you have no choice but to take the class. You will have 60 days to finish the course and if it is NOT completed successfully you will have your license suspended until the requirement has been fulfilled.[edit] FEES
Please contact the TSS locations for more details on individual pricing.[edit] ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
