Italian luxury sports cars maker Maserati has unveiled the Gran Turismo Sport model at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year, and it’s meant to be a successor to the previous Gran Turismo S model. It’s a 2+2 sports coupe, a vintage Maserati destined to be a huge success among lovers of fast and amazingly good-looking cars.

This 4-seater has elegance and high performance written all over it. Starting from the super hot exterior looks, going through the luxurious and extra quality interiors, all the way up to the incredibly powerful engine.

The Gran Turismo Sport’s amazing beauty inevitably lead me to start reviewing it’s exterior design first. At the front of the car is the oval black grille, typical of Maserati, with the classic emblem in form of a trident in the middle of it. The new so called Blu Sofisticato paint is an excellent choice which accentuates the car’s lines. The headlights have been redesigned and now feature LED technology, which improves visibility by a great amount. The taillights are as aggressive and dynamic as the front lights, with an elongated triangular look with sharp edges. The sporty look is reinforced with a set of 20″ Astro Design alloy wheels, and as far as braking is concerned, there is the Brembo dual-cast technology, along with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in the rear.

The inside of the Gran Turismo Sport definitely lives up to Maserati’s reputation as a premium sporty and luxurious car manufacturer. It’s fitted with ergonomic sports seats, which provide a great comfortable feeling while riding at those enormous speeds, and are covered with leather upholstery. The steering wheel is also redesigned and has gotten a new, sportier look and it’s pretty easy to handle, with an improved grip adjusted for sports driving.

As far as the performances of this coupe are concerned, you can imagine they are at a pretty high level, considering it’s equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 engine, which produces an incredible amount of 460 horsepowers and 383 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to these features, it is able to develop maximum speeds of 186 mph, and it can from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds. This 4-wheel drive Maserati comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a Sport Skyhook suspension system. Typical of sports cars like this, the Gran Turismo Sport will make you spend a lot of money on gas, as it has a fuel consumption of 11 mpg for city, and 18 mpg for highway driving.

This latest addition to the Maserati family is undoubtedly a great item for all sports cars lovers, but it would have to be a pretty exclusive and elite group of people, if you take it’s price into account, which is set at around $135,000. However, it’s an amazing vehicle that is well worth every penny and everyone who can afford it, won’t regret it in the slightest.
