SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is an association founded in 1963, which represents a network of manufacturers, retailers, car clubs, race teams, car dealers and auto restorers.
The association famously organizes an aftermarket product trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center each year, which is the most popular show of its kind worldwide. It’s an event where car tuners can see the latest products from manufacturers from all over the world.
This year the show will be held from October 30 and will last through November 2. More than a 100,000 visitors are expected to visit the event in Nevada.
There are some very interesting projects coming to Las Vegas this fall. One of the most anticipated vehicles is the 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. The truck made by Mopar, which provides service for Chrysler and supplies it with parts, is fitted with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine. The most noticeable parts on it are the modified grille and the two hood scoops with chrome caps.
Another cool car that will be revealed at the SEMA show is the Ford Focus ST, with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a six-speed manual transmission, a great concept car with excellent performances.
The supercharged Scion FR-S, a sports car with 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a rear-wheel drive is also worth mentioning, as well as the Subaru BRZ, with a 2.0-liter 16-valve direct and port-injected boxer engine.
Chevrolet is going to introduce the Z-Spec Concept, which will feature a 1.4-liter turbo engine, a Borla exhaust and Brembo brakes.
One of the most famous custom car designers, Chip Foose, is going to unveil two trucks – a 1953 F-100 and a 2012 F-350 Super Duty. They will be put up for auction and the proceeds will be donated to two SEMA Cares charities.
Other notable releases are the Hyundai ‘Velocity’ Concept, the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Dodge Charger Juiced project, with a Viper V10 Mopar engine, producing an incredible 650 horsepowers.
So, judging by these amazing cars that are expected to be unveiled at the 2012 SEMA Show, we can definitely look forward to another exciting and spectacular event in the Entertainment Capital of the World.
