I went here for the first

I went here for the first time this morning with my 4 year old daughter. I had to renew my license and chang my adress. I was in and out within 20 minutes. It was so simple and easy. I alwayd dread going to the dmv, but this place was quick and easy. Im happy i didnt have to wait long and was taken care of right away. Especially since i had my daughter with me.

I LOVE doing business at the Joliet DMV because they're fast, efficient and courteous. I was there today, Saturday at 10am, to renew my license plates without paperwork. I was in and out in 10 MINUTES with a new sticker affixed to my license plate!
Previously, when my purse was stolen it took me only 25 MINUTES to obtain a new driver's license with a new photo. Wow! Keep up the good work, staff!!

I've come here regularly

I've come here regularly since 2005. I've never had anything but a pleasant experience.
I actually had somebody throw a dollar in the till what I came up a dollar short to renew my tags.
When I took my motorcycle written exam I walked in five minutes before closing time walked out on time with my permit.
I've never had an experience that a government agency that would 1) affect the way I vote 2) have me bragging about my DMV for the last 10 years 3) make me take the time out to write a review

My experience here over 5ish

My experience here over 5ish years has been great. There is a specific guy working the front desk area that is amazing. Everyone on the left drivers services has been awesome. However, on the other side, they have had that typical "DMV worker" blank faced attitude. Nothing rude though, just gray. Which is expected at a DMV. A lot of these reviews sound like first time drivers, or road ragers re-testing. Try running through 1000+ drivers bad drivers a day and be pleasant.

It's a nice and fast place

It's a nice and fast place with good management, except for Tracy ( big blond lady) , who was extremely rude and was yelling at me and every driver who was waiting outside for the road test, she isn't suppose to be doing customer service with this attitude to the people. Will never come back in this location. Be more nice to each other, smile and everyone will be more friendly! Merry Christmas!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! the people that work there are really arrogant and rude, it's like they think they're making you a favor, when they're supposed to do their job!

First, Illinois DOES NOT HAVE

First, Illinois DOES NOT HAVE "DMV", it is the Secretary of States Office.
They expect a person to pass up a line through a narrow door. There isn't even a visible sign outside to lead to any handicapped line.

The DMV in Joliet had the

The DMV in Joliet had the most helpful and competent people I've come across in long time. They were amazing. They were mind readers. The lady who helped me answered my questions before I asked them. The guy at the receptionist desk immediately saw an extra document in my hand that was needed because the previous owner of a car had gotten married and changed her name. It took a currency exchange about 15 minutes to figure out the relationship of it to the car title even though we were trying to show them the extra document. I had to go to the nearby Walmart to get a money order. That's where I waited in long slow lines. By contrast, the DMV was extremely organized.
