What are the benefits of taking a Vermont DMV practice test?

Using a DMV.com learners permit practice test makes you five times more likely to pass the Vermont driving test because our practice test is meant to mimic the format of the official driving test and cover all of the important questions a student should expect. Like the official test, our practice test draws questions from Vermont driving laws and the state driver’s manual. Furthermore, practice tests are good for students because they help:

  • Build confidence. Nothing sabotages a test-taker like nerves, especially when the stakes are as high as whether or not you will qualify for a learners permit or license. Take a practice test a few times to get more comfortable with the testing process and the material.
  • Organize studying. If you cannot say exactly what you know or how well you know it, a DMV permit practice test is a good way to get a sense of which topics you no longer have to study and which ones you should spend more time on. Take the test the first time before you start studying to see how you score, and then track your results as you come back to the questions you repeatedly answered incorrectly.

Free DMV Practice Tests in Vermont

Vermont does not have an online practice permit test, but it does have an online driving simulator, Drive Vermont. This simulator is meant to help students learn to drive as they study for their permit, and it contains questions and scenarios that are similar to those that will appear in the permit test. The simulator comes with a tutorial and informative videos.

There are other free DMV online practice tests, but students should be careful to avoid generic DMV tests. While driving is relatively the same across the country, a driver taking a permit test is expected to know the specific laws of his or her state. Students should be careful to use a practice test tailored to their state, which is why DMV.com’s study guide is composed based strictly on Vermont law.
