Rhode Island teen drivers are required to meet certain requirements before obtaining a learner’s permit.

Drivers who are at least 15 years and 10 months of age must complete a driver education course certified by the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and approved by the RI Division of Motor Vehicles.
