We had a truck stolen from us years ago. We did not have full coverage on it so it was quite a big hit for us considering it was stolen from our Dr.'s office when I was in labor. Rebel Towing "found" the truck 3 years later and sent us a notice that they were auctioning it. We called and let them know it was reported stolen and we wanted it back. They never checked with the Sheriffs office, like tow yards are supposed to do with abandoned vehicles, to see if it was stolen. They threatened us to not get the cops involved and told us we needed to pay $900 to retrieve it. We called the police to see what we needed to do to get possession of it again and the police called them and told them they needed to return it to us and that we owed them no money. They started calling our phones and harassing us. They would call over and over and scream at us and try to intimidate us. They surrounded our truck with vehicles so it couldn't be driven off the lot. The police demanded they make the truck available for us to drive. Rebel towing put it out on the side of the busy hwy. They also stripped the vehicle. They stole the battery (brand new), bed liner, and a few other things. These things were on the truck when they had offered it back to us for money. They threatened to shoot us if our feet crossed an inch onto their property. They hate police and the Sheriffs department told us that this was an ongoing problem with this tow yard. They had tried to auction off other stolen vehicles in the past and tried to force the victims of theft pay large amounts of money to receive their cars back. They seemed like they were on Meth to me by their behavior and speech. Please find another tow yard.
