How to Renew Your Vehicle Registration in Delaware

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles notifies vehicle owners of the expiration date of their vehicle registration by mail about 90 days in advance. Vehicle registrations can be renewed 90 days before the expiration date either through mail or in person. For vehicles more than five years old, a vehicle inspection has to be passed before renewal. If a vehicle fails the test, a retest can be done after repair.
