I had the same experience as the guy below but DMV told me in advance that I needed to retake the written test. I had no problem with this office they were very helpful and very professional. Pomona DMV you are the bomb! Keep up the good work!

I'm an excellent driver to the point that in the past I've always paid for my renewal by mail. This time however, it said to renew in person for a new photo before the end of your birthday. So..Dec 7th 2012, I made an appt. spent time in line.. Got my photo taken gave the DMV the $31.00 fee and decided to call today, because I've of yet received my new license in the mail. Todays date is Jan 23, 2013. I was worried about possible I.D. Theft.. DMV tells me on the phone that it is being held up, because I need to take the written test. I'm like WHAT? No one told me that.. I never saw anything but come take a new photo.. I AM PISSED OFF... Government workers... you make entirely too much money. Why wasn't I told this at the DMV ? Why did 2 different people advise me about where I need to take my photo..but nothing about a written test? And.. the guy I talked to on the phone was very rude!

Called the tech center again.. This time found someone who actually was able to help. He searched the sub-files on the computer..found that I was supposed to get a issued waiver for the test, but the person inputing my info made a mistake.. Now, I have to drive down there and find a office manager to have them fix it. Dumb stupid people.. This person should be fired for putting me through this bunch of hell.

Renewed my DL in person. did everything right and was issued a receipt and my interim DL. The DL never showed up, I called and got run around and finally call center admitted the clerk at Pomona failed to eneter correct info into system. My DL has since expired as the interim DL expired and DMV still giving me the run around. Thanks Pomona.

Read my review above yours.. I'm so damned pissed off right now.

I had the best DMV experience ever today with the lady at station 16. My purse had been stolen containing all my debit, credit cards, checkbooks and, of course, my driving license. I had made an appointment on line Sunday night for 9:50 a.m. and I had to fill out a form and the lady there was so kind, efficient, pleasant and helpful that it made this whole nightmare just a little easier. The police officer had written my license number down for me, but omitted one digit. The lady (I'm so sorry I don't know her name) checked my name with the number he gave us and found the missing number. You should be proud of this lady because she gave me a whole new DMV experience. Please thank her for me.
