How to Renew Your Vehicle Registration in Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration-Office of Motor Vehicles notifies vehicle owners of the expiration date of their vehicle registration by mail. Vehicle registrations can be renewed before the expiration date either by telephone, through the mail, using the DMV's online service, or in person.

REGISTRATION RENEWAL BY TELEPHONE

You can use a touchtone phone to renew your registration. You will need a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) to pay for the renewal transaction.

  1. Have your credit card, registration renewal notice and the current insurance information handy before the call.
  2. Call the toll-free number (888)-389-8336
  3. Follow the instructions to complete the registration renewal.

REGISTRATION RENEWAL BY U.S. MAIL

  • Send the completed registration renewal form along with current insurance information and the appropriate payment to:

REGISTRATION RENEWAL VIA THE INTERNET

  1. Go to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Online Services website.
  2. Have your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or handy to pay for the renewal. You can also request an electronic withdrawal from your checking account.
  3. You must also have your registration renewal form receipt and odometer reading handy.
  4. There is no additional fee for online renewals.

REGISTRATION RENEWAL IN PERSON

  1. Locate a County Revenue office or a participating Wal-mart store in your area.
  2. Bring the registration renewal form, along with cash, check, credit or debit card to pay for the renewal.

FEES

Registration for different categories of vehicles in Arkansas will have different fees as seen here and may also include additional taxes or fees.

FOR CORRECTIONS

  1. Before renewal, check for errors in the pre-printed vehicle renewal notice that arrived in the mail.
  2. For correction or change of address, use the online services to correct your address before renewing.
  3. For any other error, dial the toll-free number (888)-389-8336 to reach the Help Desk.
